Did you watch the video? I couldn't finish it. I couldn't watch someone die a slow, painful death. I couldn't hear a grown man cry for his mom. George Floyd, it hurt, but you started something. It won't be a waste.
I can't move. I'm so paralyzed. I'm so stuck.
I'm grateful we have millions of people protesting. I'm glad the looters are out. They are keeping this in the news. Why does it matter if the protest is peaceful? Why does the protest need to be peaceful after being suppressed for hundreds of years?
America is in distress. We are lobsters in a pot of slowly boiling water. We don't know it is killing us but it is. If Trump loses his presidential election next spring will that help? Or will it simply release enough pressure to put us back into our silent misery? Maybe we need another 4 years of boiling to reach the tipping point of real change. If we do then I'll take it.
